‘KINESIOLOGY’ LOGO + WORDMARK

CLIENT: NEW ENGLAND COLLEGE

YEAR: 2025

LOGO:

The Department of Kinesiology at New England College advances the study of human movement. Its logo is built from a rectangle, an angled plane, and a circle, reading simultaneously as a "K" and a "Ki" to compress the department's name into a single geometric gesture. The letterform also becomes a body in motion, resembling a figure bending into a stretch.

The logo embodies the discipline itself, where structure meets movement. The clean, foundational forms convey academic rigor and stability, while the tilted stroke introduces energy and dynamism, resulting in a mark that is scholarly, human, and alive with motion.

DESCRIPTION:

Bespoke ‘K’ logo constructed from three geometric shapes: a tall vertical rectangle on the left, a diagonal stroke angling down to the bottom right, and a circle floating at the top right. The mark resembles a figure bending forward into a stretch. Wordmark to the right reads ‘Kinesiology’.
